Since 2021, the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Technology has had a fantastic chance from the TUYF Charitable Trust Fund to fund two projects:
The Mathematics for Sustainable Community Development project focuses on improving students at the high school and bachelor's levels. The initial project will be divided into two major parts:
2.1 Support programs that help high school students acquire abilities in a variety of areas. There will be two projects.
2.1.1 The TUYF Charitable Trust for Mathematics Pre-Olympic Camp Project
2.1.2 The TUYF Charitable Trust for Tutoring Program for Entrance Examinations
This will be a camp where both students can learn intensive algebra, geometry, combinatorics, number theory, and problem solving in mathematics. Tutorial approaches include short lectures, group and individual activities, and simulated examinations using the same theme of problems that they will confront in the actual examination.
As the regional educational hub, we aim to improve research and study in mathematics and applied mathematics. In this regard, Prince of Songkla University's Division of Computational Science (Hat-Yai campus) and Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (Pattani campus) have received funding from the TUYF Charity Trust to support Thai and foreign students with high potential and interest in conducting advanced research and pursuing a graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, and Applied Mathematics.
Since 2021, 9 students have been chosen to earn the PSU-TUYF scholarship. They are pursuing Master's and Ph.D. degrees at both the Pattani and Hat-Yai campuses. The list is as follows.
